As the title of this post suggests, I threw a bachelorette party for my friend Jenny a few months ago now.
So here are a few shots from the pre-party. We all got together before going out on the town so that we could have a drink or two, play a game and get to know one another. This worked out really well because not everyone wanted to go out dancing so they were able to come by and have a little fun without having to stay out all night.
We had sangria, snacks, penis related items and custom koozies as souvenirs. We even played a little game that I came up with.
The point of the game was for all of us to get to know each other. It went over really well. Here's how it works:
I emailed each of the attendees and asked for an embarrassing moment that they wouldn't mind sharing with the group. Then I took those and created 2 more for each person based on the theme they had already given me. So if their moment took place at prom, I made up 2 more embarrassing moments that could have taken place at prom.
Once we got to the party, I split everyone up into groups. I called each woman to stand next to me as I read the choices. The teams then had to choose which embarrassing moment they thought was the true one. The team with the most correct answers won a prize. It was funny to see each woman's face as the choices were read since they hadn't heard the ones I had made up yet either. It took a bit of work but in the end it turns out that I am good at making people guess incorrectly.
It was funny and since Jenny has a lot of friends from different groups, it allowed everyone a quick way to bond.
Of course we then went out dancing all night and the last women standing had a slumber party. It was a blast!
I love your game idea! So many shower/bachelorette games are lame, so this would be funny and refreshing.
