CHATEAU ELAN

Sometimes you just need to get away. It's not that you can't have a romantic evening at home, but somehow the stressors of life hanging all around can put a damper on things. I am a huge fan of just getting away even if it's just for a night.

We decided to take Columbus Day to have a little romantic getaway but we didn't want to go too far so we ended up at Chateau Elan for a night. This Winery and Resort is about 40 minutes from my house and was the perfect little getaway. They have tours of the winery that end with a wine tasting so we did that on Sunday afternoon. Then we went back to our luxurious room at the inn to watch some football and get ready for dinner. We had dinner at Cafe Elan which was very delicious and romantic. They have multiple restaurants on the campus, all of them with their own style. I can't wait to go back and try the other ones. They also have golf, a spa and horseback riding. I would highly recommend it for a night, weekend or just the day.
