THE KNOT MAGAZINE WINTER 2013

I had the distinct pleasure of working with the team over at The Knot magazine this past summer/fall in the hopes of getting my laser cuts into one of their issues.  It is always very exciting and a little stressful when dealing with press as important as this. They are always on such a tight deadline that if you can't work within their time frame, you'll lose the opportunity. A lot of times, due to the nature of laser cuts, that has happened to me. And then you just never know when it's going to pan out so you have to set yourself up for the possibility that you and your product might not make the cut. But when everything comes together, it's awesome. 

There is a lot of emailing back and forth and sometimes some overnighting of items. Sometimes I won't even know I'm in the publication until I hear it from someone else. I didn't know that this issue was out and I was featured until I saw a post from one of my stores about it on Facebook. Alpine Creative Group is also featured in this spread and they were kind enough to let me know about it. 

Overall, it is so worth the stress to see your work in print and to be featured alongside other artists you respect.
