FRIDAY

So, every Friday I'm supposed to post my This Handmade Life feature. As you may have noticed, that did not happen on Friday. So sorry. That feature will post later today.

As for what DID happen on Friday: I was in a mad dash to get out of town and spend the weekend in the mountains with my friends. I was furiously packaging orders, shopping for paper, and trying to pick up something for a birthday party to take place at the cabin that night. Lucky for me, it was the exact day that my employee decided to email me about a friend of hers here in Atlanta that makes fabulous cupcakes. I emailed Mindy immediately and begged her to make me a dozen of her beautiful cupcakes for the party THAT NIGHT. She was so wonderful and had a dozen cupcakes made for me just in time for me to grab them on my way out of town.

When we got to the cabin, we decorated with streamers and balloons and the cupcakes were displayed in the center of it all. The birthday girl was VERY happy and the cupcakes were a huge hit, not only for their looks, but for their taste. I was a little scared about all the icing, but it is so light and wonderful tasting, that you'll wish there was more.
