JUST KIDDING
I am so mad right now that I have to vent and since I work alone most of the time, you have been getting the brunt of it. Sorry. If you're tired of internet rantings, please stop reading. I guess I shouldn't have shouted to the world that my internet was fixed. I should have humbly smiled to myself and not gotten too excited. It is such a fickle little bit of a thing around here that I guess I scared it off. I am at the end of my rope. The only thing I can see to do at this point is change providers and hope that they will treat me better. But, if I switch right now, I won't get my refunded money from all the days I've been without internet because it is showing up on my next bill. But, the new company is offering me $125 cash to woo me over, so I guess that would cover it. Any ideas?
do it. I cut off the cable service box myself when I couldn't get them to show up for the appts THEY scheduled. When we moved to Atlanta I flat out refused to work with comcast. If we couldn't have DSL we just wouldn't have Internet. Very happy with the service and haven't looked back.
ReplyDeleteWhat did your comcast buddy Mike say when he came out? If it looks like there will be no resolution to this issue, I would make the switch. But make sure the new company isn't running internet through any of the same cables as comcast or you might be back where you started.
ReplyDeleteswitch! My internet was driving me nuts too and I did everything. My service kept dipping in and out and I could never accomplish anything. We switched and its perfect! Especially for your business that has got to be really hard if your internet keeps messing up.
ReplyDeleteMan, that totally sucks! At my cooperative house in college (not so long ago), we got our internet from some company based in Texas! Needless to say, out here in California, we never saw a real tech guy. Instead, we relied on tech-y friends of house members. ANNOYING!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I say weigh the pros and cons. Is the wooing cash enough to make you forget the refund? Or is the principle of the matter more important (making the company pay for its boo-boos)? Better yet, is the $125 cash a limited time offer? If not, I'd wait for the refund and then get the cash too!
:) good luck Avis.
Miss your posts, rants and all.
