DIY GLITTERED HEART BOOKMARK (A VALENTINE'S DAY PROFECT)

Let's assume people still read books and not e-readers. I know you're out there. And let's assume that your valentine is one of those people. This is a perfect little project. Make these adorable bookmarks and give them to your sweetheart (or someone you want to be your sweetheart) along with a book or two and you have a thoughtful yet practical gift. I originally got this idea from Pinterest and the blog Craft and Creativity but I added a little sparkle. Here's how to:

Supplies:
glue (any type)
an envelope
scissors or x-acto knife & cutting mat
pencil
glittered paper (I got mine at Michael's in the scrapbook department)

Directions:

1. Cut off just the corner of the envelope. Or both if you're making 2 bookmarks.

2. On the back of the glittered paper, draw a heart, using the envelope triangle as a guide. I first traced the outside edge of the triangle, then drew a line from the base straight up. Then just drew the round parts of the heart to connect the two.

3. Cut out the heart.

4. Glue the heart to the envelope corner. Then just slip the heart on the page in your book to keep your place.
