Tell us about yourself.
My name is Lisa, I'm 29 years old, I live in Nebraska with my daughter and partner and two cats.
What do you make?
My primary focus is amigrumi crochet, however I crochet other things too, hats, jewelry, etc. At my other store, http://chimeracreation.etsy.

What inspires you & what is your creative process?
I just love to crochet. I start out and see where my hook takes me. I don't use a pattern, and I usually don't plan anything out ahead of time. I rarely make the same thing twice, I find it boring.
Where is your studio and how has it evolved? what is your plan for it in the future?
My studio is the third bedroom in our house. It started off as kind of a den area and has pretty much turned into all workspace. I recently reorganized it and it has been so awesome. I finally feel like I have most of my yarn stash under control as well as my many bits of papers, stickers, etc. I don't plan on changing it too much in the future at this point, since I recently reorganized and rearranged it.

What tools & equipment do you use?
Crochet hooks and yarn, mostly. I needle felt also, so I have some wool roving and barbed needles. For ACEOs/art, I have a lot of vintage scrap paper bits, glue, sealant, glitter, knives, scissors, etc.
What else do you do? Is this your full time gig?
I'm mainly a full time parent, but I also do pet sitting and of course, my two etsy shops.
What do you hope to get out of this, what are your goals?
I crochet because I enjoy it. When I first started, I was just hoping to make a few sales, and get rid of all the extra stuff I was crocheting! Now, I'm getting more business minded about it, and I hope that one day it will be half of our income, with my partner making the other half. I also want to set a good example for my daughter and hope she will get into it as she gets older.

How do you promote yourself?
My primary promotion outlets are my blog: http://chimeracrochet.
Any tips for fellow crafters/artists?
For promotion- you have to just do a little bit every day, I really think that is the most effective. For crafting- STAY organized! Easier said than done for a lot of us, I know, but I think it's so important. Keeping things neat and well laid out will help let your creativity find it's appropriate outlet.

thanks a bunch Lisa!
Great interview, if I do say so, myself! (^_^)
