OUT WEST

So we spent last week in Arizona & Las Vegas. Here is a quick run down of the trip. We flew into Phoenix after the snow storm in Atlanta delayed us for 2 days and drove straight to Sedona. We hiked there for 2 days among the red rocks and then headed through Flagstaff on our way to the Grand Canyon.

We arrived at the Grand Canyon in time to catch a glimpse during sunset.

The next morning, we hiked into the Grand Canyon a little ways. It was surely the best part of the trip. It was snowy and cold at the top, but got warmer the farther we went down.

After our hike, we drove to Vegas and got upgraded to a huge suite for no additional cost. It was a little bachelor pad for my taste, but I guess it was very Vegas.

And this is the view from our huge room on the 38th floor.

We had to stop at the Hoover Dam on our way back from Vegas.

Finally, we drove through the desert back to Phoenix for one last hike.

But alas, it was not to be. It rained our last day there so we had brunch and walked around Scottsdale when the rain died down. All and all, we had a great time!

So I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with all the work I have to catch up on this week. Especially because I was in Virginia the week prior to that helping my Mom move her mother here to Atlanta. She has kidney failure and we all thought it would be best to have her close to us so that we can care for her. So my new job, which I started this week, is to hang out with my grandmother for 4 hours in the middle of the day. She is doing wonderfully and can do most everything on her own. I am simply in charge of driving her around, making her lunch & keeping her company.

I am still working on adjusting to the new schedule, so please forgive me if my responses are a little slow. I'm sure I'll be back up to speed next week.

One last update! If you were clever enough to already be a customer of mine or sign up to receive promotional emails by joining the mailing list, (on the side bar) you would have received a 20% of coupon in the mail this week. But don't worry, it's not too late, sign up and you'll get the next one!
