NSS RECAP PART 1 {THE SMALL THINGS}

This week, I will share with you my booth from start to finish but I am also working on a full NSS guide so I'll try to keep this simple.

There are a lot of big things to do before the show (design products, design the booth & plan on getting it all to NYC) but there are a lot of little details to consider as well.

Catalogs or line sheets are necessary to have for buyers. Last time, I printed and assembled lots of catalogs to give out at the show but this year I decided to have an online catalog. There are many reasons for this. 1. I saved time, money & resources 2. It's of course more eco-friendly and 3. It was a lot smaller & lighter for shipping.

Along with my catalogs, I also set up order forms on my website. I still needed a way to let the buyers know where to get the catalog so I printed small cards that have the info on them. Then, to make them cute & match my caramel corn packaging, I slipped them into a glassine bag and added a little pull tab made out of washi tape. The bag also allowed me to slip my business card inside so that the buyer has all my info in one place.

We gave out homemade caramel corn which we also did 2 years ago. We made all the corn the week we left for the show, packaged it and shipped it to New York. We cut small flags to label the corn and used the washi tape to keep it on the bag. There is also a small card stapled to the back (not in the picture) that has the logo and booth number. The caramel corn is always a huge hit. It's also nice to give people something to eat since the show is so huge and exhausting. I designed the caramel packaging first and the catalog design came from that.

In the picture, you can also see my business cards that I just set in a soap dish. My 2011 Desk Calendar is on the table too.

Stay tuned for booth set up pics tomorrow!
