NSS RECAP PART 3 {THE REVEAL}

This is the view down the aisle once everyone is all set up. You can see how Ashley of Fine Day Press used washi tape in a totally different way than myself.

And here is my booth all set up and ready for buyers. My booth design was based on a few ideas. I always love the contrast between bright colors, white paper and an organic texture. I also wanted it to be simple and clean. I started from there. I used the grass cloth from Ikea instead of painting the wall. Then I used the trim to define the space. The blond wood shelves are part of the natural, organic element. The flooring was also the grass cloth just in a darker color. I love cut paper so much that the hand cut signs were my way of incorporating that idea into the booth.

I made sure that the logo and booth number were large and on each wall since that is how people know who you are and where they are. It is your address and the most important aspect of the booth.

I made some garlands out of my wrapping paper designs and strung them up to add a little bit of whimsy. I got a lot of interest them and you may seen them soon.

I got my table at Ikea (are you sensing a theme?) and the chair as well. The other chair is provided by Javits. You have to have a place to sit and write orders or rest your feet.

In the next pics, you are going to get to see a lot of my new designs.

  1. Avis, it looks beautiful! Who attends this show? I wish I could have visited your booth in person. Your 2010 calendar is on my kitchen counter; can't wait to see next year's!

  2. Meili,

    The show is attended by buyers of stationery, gift & every other store you can think of. There is press, people in the industry and people just scoping out trends.
